The Asus ROG GT51 is a gaming desktop that will keep your secrets

With CES 2016, we've observed compact gaming desktops, such as Origin PC Chronos, along with updated gaming laptops, such as the Lenovo Y900, but the new Asus ROG GT51 could be the biggest, most audacious desktop to come along at the indicate (so far).

This massive desktop seems to rear back like a wild animal on the verge of strike. Asus' press release calls it "aggressively created, " and names the actual gray-and-copper color scheme "armor titanium along with plasma copper. "

Your built-in light show, including lights visible inside case's side panel along with vertical lights moving around the front panel, is really less in-your-face than another gaming desktops (such because Ideacentre Y900 RE via Lenovo and Razer), nevertheless the bottom half of the actual machine's front is dominated by the circular intake that seems like something out of some sort of sci-fi movie.

That circular vent is perhaps the cooling system, bringing air in from the front panel, and expelling it through vents on top and rear, all of which is combined with liquid cooling to hold the GT51 from overheating.

Inside is room with regard to current-gen Intel Core i7 k-series CPUs along with two graphics cards (such as a pair of Nvidia Titan X credit cards, if you're feeling fancy), although several stock and customizable configurations is going to be available at an array of prices.

The coolest feature from the GT51 has nothing related to the room-filling design. It's an included NFC-enabled rubber wrist band that acts being a personal security key (as affecting the video above). The machine supports what Asus phone calls a "shadow partition, " which can be essentially a hidden hard-drive partition. It may be set to unlock only once the wristband is held to the NFC contact point around the front panel of the device. The wristband can also trigger a lot of the system's built-in overclocking, so you can wave your arm while watching chassis to trigger the actual overclocking, rather than needing to launch a software tool.

Complementing the desktop are a number of new gaming accessories via Asus, including the ROG Claymore key-board, with customizable RGB lighting along with a number pad that can put on either the left or right sides; and the actual ROG Spatha mouse, containing 12 buttons, can be operated being a wired or wireless mouse, and includes a magnetic charging dock.

There's no set cost or release date yet for that GT51 or its components.
